Been Busy
Wow it has been a while! Never even finished the post about soccer camp. Well here is a short catch up. Our soccer team has done extremely well this year. Our record is 12 and 3. The 3 losses were not in our conference, and so we have gained the title of conference champs. State tourney begins next Friday. Excited for the tourney, but don't want the season to end. I will keep you updated better now that I have my schedule figured out finally.

The road to a State championship starts here!
Obviously I have been gone for a while. That is because I have just gotten back from soccer camp at a Christian college in Wisconsin. The week was amazing!! The coach for the school and the week was, Jeff Pill. Coach Pill helped in the training of the woman's U.S. National team when they went to win the 1996 Olympics. He has the highest coaching license one can have. Not only is he an amazing coach, but he is also an amazing Christian. He has inspired me as a soccer player, but most importantly as a Christian.
The picture to the left is of the team on the six and a half hour drive up.
Since we have gotten back, we have a week till school starts so we have practice 9 to 11:30a.m. every morning. For this week we have the announcer for Chicago fire, Chris, running drills. (cant remember his last name)
I will be posting more about camp and of this weeks practices.

Past few days
My weekend started Friday night with my summer league basketball practice. It was on the hottest day of the year and only seven of us showed up. So my coach only made us play 3v3 for an hour. ( I love those practices!)
And Monday I went over to a friends house to play airsoft before we went to soccer practice. As you can tell from the picture, we go all out when we play.
Tuesday night was the start of my summer basketball league's tourney. At half we were down by six-teen, but we brought it up to a one point game. We ended up loosing by five to end our season.

The Beautiful Game
Name: Joel
Year: Junior
Position: defense "Defense wins games, offense sells tickets"
School: Tabernacle Christian school
Last night was Thursday night, so I grabbed my soccer cleats and headed for the field. We haven an "open field" practice every Monday and Thursday night. We average around 22 people on those nights, and those people vary in skill and age. So there are people in college that have been playing for most of their life, people like me who have been playing for three years, and the brand new people.
All of the more experienced people give the newer people advice and tips. I know it has helped me playing with experienced players.
This is our field and a few people warming up.
